Scott Horn is an Oak Cliff based artist, event designer, and man-about-town. Upon inheriting a set of tools from his grandfather, Horn’s artistic focus shifted to leatherwork. He is dedicated to preserving the craft of this distinctive American art form while disregarding the anachronistic style and subject matter of traditional leatherwork. Think gas stations and overpasses in place of idyllic mountain passes and open fields. He is intrigued by natural and mechanical systems – schematics and scientific illustrations are regular features of his work, along with geometric and intensely complex patterning.
